How I work
I am an Integrative Counsellor which means my training enables me to draw on different approaches to meet your individual needs. I believe we are all unique individuals who all look at the world in a different way. I feel very passionate about my work as a counsellor and draw on my own individual life experiences as well as my training.
I see my role as coming along side you and supporting you to find the answer to whatever it is that brings you to seek counselling.
I have experience of working with adults of all ages from 18 to 70 on a wide range of issues and difficulties.
Ethical Framework
As a professional I subscribe to the code of Ethics Framework and Good Practice of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) of which I am a member.
Confidentiality
The sessions are completely confidential. The only limitation to this is where there is a danger of harm arising to yourself or others, or where I am compelled in law to disclose information. However, I would only do this in extreme circumstances and would always try and discuss it with you first before taking any action.
Supervision
I receive ongoing supervision so as to maintain professional development and good practise.
Continuing Professional Development
As a Registered Counsellor I am committed to maintaining and improving my level of competence, knowledge and skills by Continuing Professional Development.
